Towson Town Center: This mall has it ALL. Find stores like Nordstrom, Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Gap, bebe, Anthropologie, Coach, and other big-name brands to shop at here. You can also find a selection of restaurants here, from dine-in to quick service restaurants. The Cheesecake Factory, TGI Fridays, P.F. Chang’s, Stoney River Legendary Steaks, Burger King, Subway, and much more are all in the mix!





Towson Place: At this expansive shopping center, find major stores like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Toys “R” Us, PetSmart, etc.

Towson Square: This walkable shopping center includes a Barnes & Noble, Trader Joe’s, Pier 1 Imports, BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse, On the Border Mexican Grill, and more! You can even catch a movie at Cinemark Theater Towson & XD! Enjoy films on ceiling-to-floor, wall-to-wall screens with custom sound and premium seating.



Towson's Farmers Market: Open Thursdays in June through October on Allegheny Avenue and in November on Washington Avenue 10:45AM - 3:00PM, the Towson Farmers Market features locally grown foods and handcrafted products. Stop by on a Thursday to stock up!



Lake Roland: Spanning 500 diverse acres of land, Lake Roland Park offers many outdoor amenities to the public. A ranger station, pavilions for events, a pedestrian bridge and extensive hiking trails, an off-leash dog park, a children’s play area, and a boardwalk from the Lake-Falls Light Rail Station are all available for your enjoyment!

Commuting in Towson





In addition to driving, many people take advantage of the bus and light rail. While the light rail does not stop in Towson, there are nearby stops in both Lutherville and Falls Road. See a map of the light rail here!

Towson University—a public school that’s part of the University System of Maryland—is also located in Towson. This 20,000-student school offers undergraduate and graduate classes, in addition to continuing education courses and more.



Groucher College—a smaller liberal arts schools—is also located in Towson. With approximately 2,100 students enrolled, this small school spans 287 acres.
